Léon Daudet
Léon Daudet was born in Paris in 1867 and was the eldest son of the popular writer Alphonse Daudet and his wife Julia. Forgoing an expected career in medicine, he plunged himself into his own writing career, becoming one of France’s most notorious and feared reactionary journalists and politicians, a man whose power led to his undoing.
